Chili After Church
Here it is, just in time for Super Bowl Sunday! St. Mark United Methodist Church will be having a Chili After Church Fundraiser to support our Missions Funds for St. Mark's annual missions support. Tickets will be presold, and this will be take-out only on February 9th, 2025. It will include all the fixings and cornbread for only $10, or two 16oz. bowls for $15. This chili is so yummy and will warm you up this winter. Not to mention, it's a great addition to those game day hotdogs! Help us to support our missions this year.
Sunday Bake Sale Fundraiser
We will be holding a Sunday Bake Sale Fundraiser for our beloved member, Evan McMillan. Baked goods will be available for purchase before and after Sunday Church Service on February 2nd. All proceeds will be donated to support Evan and his family during this time, as we of course continue to pray for them as well.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
Please join us for a wonderful and exciting Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. It is going to be a magical evening with such beauty and a large congregation full of love and Christmas cheer. We hope you will consider making St. Mark United Methodist Church part of your family's traditions all of the time, but especially this time of year. Let us Celebrate "Christ Mass" together with loved ones.
Christmas Caroling
During the holidays, it is an important time to visit those who may be shut-in or who reside in local senior facilities and may not be able to get out as much anymore to see loved ones within the church. We will be joining together to visit those most deserving during this time of Christmas joy to share in music and friendship. This event is how we, together, touch the lives of many who love seeing a familiar face and a kind heart. We welcome you to join us for this amazing tradition carried on by so many within and outside of the church.
Christmas Cantata
We welcome you to join us for a magical Sunday Service with wonderful fellowship and the most beautiful music. Our traditional Sunday Service will be a little different on this date, December 22nd, and we would be thrilled to have you enjoy this experience with us.
Breakfast With Santa
Join us on December 14th to enjoy some wonderful fellowship, amazing breakfast foods, and even get a special meet n' greet with Santa Clause himself while the elves are hard at work preparing for Christmas. Santa will only have a short window from 9am-11am to visit with children and families before he has to get back to the North Pole and finish preparing for his Christmas Eve journey. As you know, it takes a lot of work delivering toys for all the little boys and girls around the world! We hope you are as excited as we are to share in this time together. St. Mark UMC can't wait to see you and your family there!
Christmas Neighborhood Carriage Ride
St. Mark UMC is going to be supporting the annual Neighborhood Christmas Carriage Ride thanks to the wonderful partnership with Dupont Station Neighborhood Coalition. The carriage ride's starting point will be the parking lot of St. Mark. This is a perfect event for children, and we welcome friends and families from the neighborhood and surroundings areas to join us on the second Monday of December, the 9th. We are grateful to all who volunteer to make these events fun for all of our families.
Supplies for Hurricane Helene Victims
St. Mark is sending supplies to North Carolina to help support the victims of Hurricane Helene. This is a devastating tragedy for residents who live in one of the many areas that were destroyed during this natural disaster. As a congregation, we have come together, and we would like to continue sending some much-needed supplies to help support these victims and their families.
St. Mark UMC Trunk or Treat
St. Mark is having some scary fun this fall season. There will be a Trunk or Treat to support our neighborhood families, and it will give us a great chance to come together to meet and connect with local families in the area who may be looking for just the right church community to share in worship with.
